Road Trip Watercolor Card

Hi all!

Today I'm sharing with you this awesome 'road trip' card I made!

I'm not really sure why I ever bought this stamp. Maybe it was for scrapbooking, but now I do digital scrapbooking.
When I was looking through my stamps I thought it would be fun to watercolor this 'road trip' stamp.
I showed this card to my kids and they think it's fun!!

And we'll be going on a LONG road trip this summer with a bunch of family, so I might just mail this out to one of them before the trip.  :)

For this card I started with a piece of watercolor paper and stamped on the 'road trip' stamp in black stazon ink and water colored it in with orange ink.
Then I brushed on some blue, green, and light green watercolors. I then dried that with my heat tool.

Next I dropped on some water drops and let them sit for a few minutes. Then I soaked up the water with a clean paper towel.

I really love the look water drops give this card front.

Next I glued down an orange piece of paper to the card base then glued on the watercolor paper.
I then stamped arrows in black stazon ink all over the card front to finish my card.

I really like how this funky road trip card turned out!!

Card base: Hobby Lobby (bulk pack)
Watercolors: Crayola watercolors (walmart)
Arrow stamps: Close to my Heart(my CTMH rep)
Watercolor paper & Black Stazon ink pad: Joanns
Stamp : I've had the road trip stamp and I'm not sure who makes it (sorry!)

Happy crafting!
